Fast read

Opportunity DNA

The available details do not point to a single standout advantage yet. The clearest issue to weigh is the salary benchmark is still shallow.

PayRange available

The range is usable, but the comparable sample is still too shallow for a strong relative-pay call.

FlexibilityLocation limits visible

Geographic eligibility is restricted to a country or region.

Entry pathHigher entry bar

One or more material qualification requirements are stated and may narrow the realistic applicant pool.

MobilityNot established

Sponsorship and relocation support are not clear from the current listing.

ApplicationSome process detail

Part of the application route can be assessed, but the full external process may contain additional steps.

TraceabilityCurrent source traceable

At least one recent enabled source can still renew this vacancy.

This fingerprint summarizes what is clear, constrained or still unanswered in the current listing. It is a reading aid, not an overall job score.

Decision evidence check

4 of 5 core facts stated

This checks whether the listing states the facts that commonly change an employment decision. It measures disclosure completeness, not whether the opportunity is good or bad.

Facts already stated

  • Compensation
  • Work arrangement
  • Advertised location
  • Employment type

What to verify next

  • Application closing time: Is there a firm application deadline, a rolling review window or no stated closing date?

Advertised location is not proof of work authorization, sponsorship, or legal eligibility. Unknown information is not a negative score; verify those questions separately.

Decision levers

What could make or break the fit?

Reasons to look closer

Nothing stands out strongly enough yet to call a clear advantage. The role may still be attractive for reasons the listing does not spell out.

Trade-offs to weigh

  • The salary benchmark is still shallow: Pay is disclosed, but the current comparison pool is too small for a strong relative-pay conclusion.
  • Location rules could change the fit: Geographic eligibility is restricted to a country or region.
  • The experience requirement raises the entry bar: The listing appears to require at least about 5 years of experience.

Questions worth asking before you invest more time

  • Confirm whether a degree is actually required, preferred, or replaceable with equivalent experience.
  • Ask whether visa sponsorship is available before investing significant time in the application.

These questions come from details the listing leaves open. An unanswered point is not treated as a disadvantage.

Salary transparency context

Is pay disclosure typical for this kind of role?

This listing states usable structured compensation, but the current role sample is still too small for a reliable disclosure-rate comparison.

This listingUsable pay stated

Compensation counts only when amount, ISO currency and supported pay period are all known.

Current same-role sampleInsufficient evidence

At least ten current comparable roles are required before HPJ publishes a disclosure percentage.

Current employer pattern81%

Employer-level comparison is withheld until enough current employer listings are available.

This compares salary-disclosure behavior in current visible listings. It does not compare raw salary amounts across currencies, infer undisclosed pay as zero, or rate employer quality.

Skill bridge

What does this role connect to?

The listing contains useful skill signals, while the current occupation sample is still too thin for a broader comparison.

Skills named in this listing

CybersecurityProcurementSalesforce

Shared with the current career sample

The occupation sample is still too thin for a reliable shared-skill comparison.

Application edge

  • If these skills match your background, prepare one concrete example that shows how you used Cybersecurity, Procurement, and Salesforce rather than relying on a keyword-only claim.
  • The listing states about 5 years of required experience. Check that the dates and scope in your application make that experience easy to verify.
  • The listing mentions extra application steps. Review those requirements before starting so you can prepare the requested material in one pass.

Skill signals come from explicit text mentions. A mention is not automatically a requirement, and absence from the current top-skill list does not make a skill rare or unimportant.

Decision analysis

What the listing really tells you

Rich decision context

Competitive Intelligence Strategist at Huntress becomes easier to judge once the range is useful even though the comparison pool is small, remote flexibility can be weighed properly, and the listing gives useful clues about who can realistically enter are viewed together. Here is the current read from the information available.

The range is useful even though the comparison pool is small

A usable GBP salary is available, but there are not enough comparable current observations for a strong percentile statement yet.

Remote flexibility can be weighed properly

The work-location pattern is “Remote with some uncertainty or restrictions”, with Remote Freedom at 62/100. One practical limit to notice is geographic eligibility is restricted to a country or region..

The listing gives useful clues about who can realistically enter

At least about 5 years of experience required · 1 additional stated barrier. Only requirements actually stated in the listing are counted; anything left unsaid remains unresolved.

The application route gives a few useful clues

Provider-mediated application path · 1 visible process step. The external application may contain additional steps that are not visible from the listing itself.

The listing can be traced to a current source

1 recent enabled source can currently renew this vacancy across 1 source classes. That improves traceability, although it does not verify the employer itself.

How this analysis is assembled

This read combines the structured details currently available for pay, flexibility, qualifications, mobility, application effort and source continuity. Missing facts are left open for you to verify.

Salary evidence qualityHigh confidence · Focused salary range

The configured source supplied structured salary fields, a usable currency and a focused comparison value.

Listing freshnessVery fresh

The listing was posted about 1 days ago.

Source provenance evidenceEstablished source evidence

At least one enabled source recently observed the vacancy. The source chain is traceable, but this is not independent employer verification.

There is no universal opportunity score because pay, flexibility and access matter differently to different people. Compare Jobs lets you weight the evidence around your own priorities.

Decision checklist

What is supported, uncertain or worth checking?

This checklist separates supported strengths, visible cautions and missing evidence. It is not an overall recommendation or guarantee that the job is suitable for you.

Supported strengths

No standout strength is supported strongly enough to list here. That is not a negative rating.

Visible cautions

  • Geographic eligibility is restricted to a country or region.
  • This is remote work with a geographic restriction, not a worldwide-remote vacancy.
  • At least about 5 years of experience required

Still unknown

  • There is not enough comparable salary evidence to establish this job’s current pay position.
  • Visa sponsorship is not established by the available listing data.

Qualifications & access

What qualifications are explicitly stated?

Some explicit entry barriers stated

EducationEducation requirement not established
Required experience evidenceAt least about 5 years of experience required
Explicit required barriers1
Explicit access signals0

Explicit requirements worth checking

  • At least about 5 years of experience required: The available wording contains an explicit minimum/required years-of-experience signal. Preferred years are tracked separately and never promoted into the required minimum.

Qualification signals come from explicit listing wording. Anything not mentioned remains unknown, so silence is never treated as proof that a degree, experience, licence or other requirement is unnecessary.

Pay vs. barriers

Opportunity Efficiency not assessed

The current pay position is not reliable enough to weigh compensation against the stated barriers.

Explicit stated barriers

1 explicit required barrier is visible in the available wording.

Required experience evidence

The listing states at least about 5 years of required experience.

Location-freedom constraints

1 explicit Remote Freedom restriction signal is present and is shown separately from qualification requirements.

Evidence gaps that could change this interpretation
  • Current comparable pay position is unavailable.
  • Education requirement is not established.

This section weighs pay context against clearly stated barriers without collapsing unlike requirements into one universal score. Degree, experience, licensing, clearance and location limits remain separate, and missing qualification details stay unknown.

Beyond the headline

Not enough evidence for a hidden-value finding

Potential hidden value appears only when several distinct non-pay advantages are actually supported. Missing requirements or benefits are never counted as positives.

Still check: At least about 5 years of experience required · The current application path is provider-mediated rather than directly classified as an employer-authorized or official route.

Hidden Value is an experimental evidence summary, not an investment-style score or guarantee of employability. It only uses explicit current listing evidence and does not infer that an unmentioned qualification is unnecessary.

Questions worth asking this employer

  • If work authorization matters to you, what sponsorship policy applies to this specific role and location?
  • If a move is required, is relocation assistance available for this position?
  • What is the expected application and interview timeline if the listing does not state a closing date?

These questions are prompted by missing or thin evidence in the employer’s current visible vacancies. Missing evidence is not treated as a negative judgement.

This employer snapshot uses the employer’s current visible listings. Remote and sponsorship rates use only vacancies with explicit evidence, while missing information stays unknown. Salary medians are shown separately by currency and need at least five disclosed salaries. Zero confirmed sponsorship means none was explicitly found in this sample, not that sponsorship is unavailable.

Work-location intelligence

Remote Freedom

62/100

Remote with some uncertainty or restrictions

62%

Why this score?

  • The role is remote but the source identifies a country or regional restriction.

Location restrictions detected

  • Geographic eligibility is restricted to a country or region.

Remote Freedom measures observable location flexibility only. Unknown work-location information remains unscored. Timezone wording is penalized only when it appears restrictive; general collaboration across time zones is not treated as a restriction. A score does not guarantee legal work eligibility, payroll availability or visa sponsorship.

International applicant intelligence

Visa & relocation signals

Tradeoff check

What’s the catch?

These are visible conditions worth checking before treating the headline compensation as the whole story:

  • This is remote work with a geographic restriction, not a worldwide-remote vacancy.

Application-path intelligence

What can we see about the application process?

Provider-mediated application path

The current application path comes through a publisher or aggregator. The destination may still lead to an employer-authorized hiring system, but that is not clear enough to assume.

Current destination: jobicy.com · HTTPS

Visible application steps or requirements

  • An assessment, test or work-sample step is explicitly mentioned.

Application effort is estimated from visible listing and source details. Optional steps are kept separate from mandatory ones, and the external form may contain additional requirements that are not visible here.

Application safety context

Application safety check

Basic application-safety context available

The current application destination has a basic transport-safety signal such as HTTPS. This does not verify the employer, vacancy, recruiter or application process.

Evidence checked: Source provenance · Application destination · Listing wording

Observable transport-safety signals

  • The available application destination uses HTTPS.
Before you share money or sensitive information
  • Confirm the vacancy on the employer’s official careers site when practical, especially if a recruiter contacts you outside the listed application path.
  • Check that recruiter email domains and application destinations are consistent with the employer or an identifiable recruiting provider.
  • Do not pay application, processing, training or equipment fees merely to be considered for a job.
  • Do not send cryptocurrency, gift cards, online-banking credentials or PINs as part of an application.
  • Treat unusually fast offers or interviews conducted only through informal messaging channels as reasons to verify the employer independently.

This is a limited safety screen, not employer verification and not a fraud determination. Never send money, cryptocurrency, passwords or sensitive banking credentials merely because a listing appears on a job platform.

What We Do:

Cybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.

Huntress now secures more than 6M endpoints and 17M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.

Reports to: Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence

Compensation Range: £70,000 to £80,000 base plus bonus and equity

Location: Remote UK

What You’ll Do:

Huntress helps protect organizations from cyber threats with a security platform backed by human expertise. The Competitive & Market Intelligence team helps the business understand how buyers make decisions, how competitors and market conditions are changing, and what those changes mean for Huntress.

As the Senior Competitive & Market Intelligence Strategist, you’ll develop deep insight into European buyers, markets, and competitive dynamics while contributing to global CI and MI priorities. You’ll lead research that informs decisions across regions and turn it into practical guidance for Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Marketing, Pricing, and leadership. The role combines strategic research with field engagement, including deal reviews and support for teams across Huntress.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Europe-focused market and competitive research while contributing to global CMI priorities. Analyze buyer priorities, category and channel dynamics, competitor positioning, pricing and packaging, and differences across regions.
  • Design and conduct primary and secondary research, including buyer, customer, and partner conversations; win/loss research; competitor analysis; review and community research; and quantitative analysis. Triangulate evidence rather than relying on a single source.
  • Investigate market requirements and differences across regions, with particular depth in European cybersecurity frameworks, regulation, data residency, sovereignty, procurement, and cross-border data access. Build working knowledge of these topics; deep regulatory expertise is not a prerequisite.
  • Support Sales and Sales Engineering with timely competitive guidance across the global field, with Europe as the primary regional focus. Join relevant deal reviews, support active opportunities, and establish recurring CI office hours and team learning sessions. Build practical discovery questions, objection handling, talk tracks, and competitive content sellers can use.
  • Analyze wins, losses, and delayed purchases across regions using buyer interviews and internal evidence, including Salesforce, Gong, and Clozd; while also conduction your own interviews and surveys to distinguish buyer-validated findings from seller-entered data, signals, and inference.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to establish and evolve competitive positioning strategy and messaging, grounded in buyer and market evidence. Turn that strategy into battlecards, competitor comparisons, campaign input, market landscapes, and recommendations for global Sales, Product, Marketing, Pricing, and leadership teams.
  • Partner with global Marketing, PR, and analyst-relations stakeholders on evidence-backed market and competitive context, including media or spokesperson support when appropriate. Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis and repeatable analysis workflows while validating outputs, protecting sensitive information, and keeping evidence traceable.
  • Work closely with product to share win, loss, and churn reasons, and perform market research that influences and informs the product road maps to overcome competitive pressure and differentiate Huntress from the competition.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a background in competitive or market intelligence, market research, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a customer-facing sales role who is research-minded in cybersecurity. One who is detail-oriented and curious is a strong fit.
  • Technical familiarity with cybersecurity products and the ability to engage credibly with technical buyers, sellers, and product teams. Solutions or Sales Engineering experience is a strong fit, but a prior CI title is not required.
  • Experience designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research, analyzing buyer or market evidence, and turning findings into defensible recommendations.
  • Experience researching European markets, or a track record of adapting research to meaningful differences across countries, buyer contexts, and routes to market.
  • The judgment to assess source quality, separate fact from interpretation, and explain what the evidence does and does not support.
  • A track record of translating complex research into concise, useful outputs and presenting findings to commercial, product, marketing, and senior audiences.
  • Experience supporting PR or analyst relations, or serving as a spokesperson, is a plus—not a requirement. Familiarity with relevant European frameworks or regulations is also helpful, not required.

What We Offer:

  • 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
  • New starter home office set up reimbursement (£398)
  • Generous personal leave entitlements
  • Digital monthly reimbursement (£92)
  • Travel to the US 1-2 times/year for various company events
  • Pension
  • Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

Huntress is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where every single member of our team is valued, has a voice, and is empowered to come to work every day just as they are.

We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

We do discriminate against hackers who try to exploit businesses of all sizes.
